David Torres Productions had the pleasure of designing and building custom trade show booths for three different companies at the world’s largest licensing show, the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas. We were proud to help the Sesame Workshop, Miffy, and the Van Gogh Museum exhibit their brands to licensees and retailers from all over the globe.

Sesame Street

This year’s Licensing Expo was a big year for Sesame Workshop as they will be celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2019! We reminded guests of the show’s legacy in the convention center’s lobby where we recreated the trademark Sesame Street stoop. Their booth stood out inside the show with the large, colorful cubes we designed to float whimsically above the space. We prominently featured Sesame Street’s newest show segment “Cookie Monster’s Foodie Truck” on a large monitor mounted to a life-size food truck façade.

Miffy

We wanted to reflect the timelessness of the 63 year-old iconic Miffy character by creating a cozy atmosphere with light-colored faux-wood floors, welcoming cross-back dining chairs, a large picture window, and soft, warm lighting. The booth’s visibility was increased with 16 ft. tall walls and a large hanging sign that were illuminated with light boxes depicting Miffy’s life across various brands.

Van Gogh Museum

We wanted to give the Van Gogh Museum’s booth a sophisticated look that was evocative of their beautiful museum in Amsterdam. The booth’s dark wood floors and carefully lit glass shelving made each product on display look like a work of art. The light boxes displaying the institution’s current licensing deals and Van Gogh’s artwork made the painter’s vivid brush strokes pop against the booth’s muted white and grey color palette.

David Torres Productions was so grateful to work with such wonderful clients at this year’s Licensing Expo. We love taking on the creative challenge of building booths that embody the unique stories of our clients’ brands and we are excitedly anticipating next year’s show!
